Welcome to OVMPS Smart Distance Shipping — our dynamic delivery system designed to make shipping affordable, fast, and transparent for everyone.
Whether you’re a buyer or a vendor, our delivery process ensures smooth, safe, and reliable order handling across Nigeria.
🗺️ 1. How Our Smart Distance Shipping Works
Our shipping system automatically calculates delivery fees based on:
- Distance (in kilometers) between the vendor’s pickup location and the customer’s delivery address.
- Vehicle class (Motorcycle, Tricycle, Mini Truck, Van, or Trailer).
- Quantity of items (to reflect real packing and transport costs).
- Interstate vs Intrastate deliveries (for longer routes and multiple-day deliveries).
When customer enters their address at checkout, our system instantly determines the distance between the vendor and the customer for the most cost-effective delivery method.
🚦 2. Delivery Vehicle Classes & Coverage
Each transport type is designed for a specific delivery range and order size:

⏱️ Estimated delivery times:
- Intrastate (within same state): 1–3 working days
- Interstate or long distance: 3–14 working days (depending on route and vehicle type)
📦 3. Quantity & Weight Logic
To ensure fairness, our system adjusts delivery prices slightly when orders include multiple items from the same vendor.
This covers additional packing, weight, and space usage.
Rules:
- Motorcycle: first 5 items at base fee, then +10% per extra item
- Tricycle: first 3 items at base fee, then +25% per extra item
- Mini Truck, Van & Trailer: base rate already accounts for bulk load; no per-item surcharge.
Example:
If a motorcycle delivery base fee is ₦800 and your order has 7 items:
- Base ₦800
- 2 extra items × ₦80 each (10% surcharge)
- Total shipping = ₦960
Your total delivery cost is always shown clearly before payment.
💰 4. Vendor Payment & Escrow Protection
OVMPS uses escrow-secured payment and paystack for your safety:
- Vendors are only paid after customers confirm receipt and mark the order as complete.
- This ensures accountability, quality assurance, and trust between buyers and sellers.
- All payments are securely processed via Paystack and protected by SSL encryption and firewalls.
