Vendor & VMP Compliance

1. Introduction

This Vendor Management & Conduct Policy outlines the relationship between OVMPS, its Vendor Management Personnel (VMP), and registered vendors on the OVMPS platform.
The policy defines the duties, ethical standards, and expectations of both parties to ensure trust, fairness, and compliance within the marketplace ecosystem.


2. Objective

To oversee and manage all interactions between OVMPS and its registered vendors, ensuring compliance with operational standards, platform policies, and Nigerian laws, while promoting a mutually beneficial partnership.


3. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All registered vendors on OVMPS.
  • All official Vendor Management Personnel (VMP) assigned by OVMPS.
  • Any interaction, communication, or transaction carried out under OVMPS’s vendor network.

4. Roles & Responsibilities

4.1 Vendor Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate business, tax, address, and product information to OVMPS and its VMPs.
  • Treat VMPs with courtesy and professionalism during visits or communications.
  • Make themselves available for inspections, verifications, or audits when required.
  • Cooperate fully with OVMPS and VMP instructions regarding compliance, listings, and performance updates.
  • Avoid any form of misconduct, abuse, or fraudulent behavior toward VMPs.
  • Refrain from making any payments directly to VMPs under any circumstance.

💡 Standard and Premium Vendors are encouraged to host VMPs respectfully during store visits. Make available product for listing before the arrival of our VMP.


4.2 VMP Responsibilities

  • Assist vendors with onboarding, training, and verification processes.
  • Monitor vendor listings for policy compliance, authenticity, and prohibited content.
  • Conduct inspections or store visits professionally and with prior notice.
  • Enforce OVMPS policies and recommend actions for non-compliant vendors.
  • Report fraudulent or unethical activities immediately to OVMPS management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Refrain from soliciting or accepting payments, gifts, or personal favors from vendors.

5. Compliance & Policy Enforcement

Both vendors and VMPs are expected to uphold this policy at all times.
Violations, misconduct, or fraud may result in suspension, delisting, or legal action.
All parties are encouraged to report misconduct through OVMPS official channels.


6. Official Payment Disclaimer

⚠️ Important Notice:
Vendors must never make payments such as subscriptions, promotional fees, or renewal charges directly to any VMP or unofficial representative.
All payments must be completed through the OVMPS website or approved payment gateways only.
Payments made outside official channels are unauthorized, invalid, and non-refundable.
Report any suspicious payment requests to support@ovmps.com or via our contact portal.

OVMPS shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or dispute resulting from unauthorized transactions.


7. Confidentiality & Data Protection

All parties must protect the confidentiality of business, vendor, and customer data.
Unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information is a violation of both this policy and the OVMPS Privacy Policy.


8. Policy Updates

OVMPS reserves the right to review and update this policy periodically. Updates will be communicated via email or posted on the OVMPS website. Vendors are encouraged to review this page regularly to remain compliant.
