At OVMPS, we believe that getting your order is only part of the experience โ knowing where it is, how it is moving, and what to expect matters too.
That is why we are excited to announce the integration of Speedaf into the OVMPS delivery experience.
Speedaf is a major logistics network with a growing presence across Nigeria and beyond, and this partnership gives OVMPS customers access to a more structured and transparent delivery experience.
๐ Delivery Speed That Depends on the Journey
One important thing to understand about delivery is that there is no single delivery time for an entire state or city.
A package travelling 15 km between a vendor and customer is a very different journey from one travelling 500 km between different regions.
That is why delivery time can depend on factors such as the distance between the vendor and customer, whether the shipment is local, intrastate or interstate, the available route, processing time, sorting, hub transfers and final-mile delivery.
Based on Speedaf’s current delivery service targets, delivery can generally fall into ranges such as:
- Local / nearby deliveries: approximately 1โ2 working days
- Shorter regional journeys: approximately 2โ3 working days
- Longer regional and interstate journeys: approximately 3โ5 working days
- Long-distance or more remote destinations: approximately 5โ7 working days, depending on the route and destination
These are delivery targets and service ranges rather than a blanket guarantee for every order. Actual delivery time can vary depending on when the parcel is picked up, seller processing, sorting, hub transfers, route availability and final-mile conditions.
In other words, whether you are in Lagos, Abuja, Anambra, Kano, Rivers, Oyo or anywhere else, the delivery timeline is determined by the actual journey your package needs to make โ not simply by the name of the state.
And that is exactly why OVMPS is building its delivery experience around real delivery information rather than guesswork.
๐ Know the Distance Between You and the Vendor
OVMPS goes a step further with Smart Distance Delivery.
Where location information is available, customers can see an approximate distance between themselves and the vendor selling the product.
Instead of simply seeing “delivery available” and wondering what that means, customers get a clearer picture of the journey involved.
For example:
โก Fast delivery: within 2โ3 working days
This product is 42.7 km away from you, using Speedaf, GIG or a local courier available at checkout.
The distance is not a promise of an exact delivery time. Rather, it gives customers useful context about why one order may arrive sooner than another.
๐ Track Your Speedaf Delivery Directly on OVMPS
With Speedaf now integrated into OVMPS, customers can also track their Speedaf shipments directly through the OVMPS platform.
Once your order has been shipped through Speedaf, you can use your order number from the OVMPS order page to follow the delivery process.
That means you do not have to feel like your order disappears after checkout.
You can order, return to your OVMPS account, and follow the journey of your shipment.
For us, that is more than a logistics feature.
It is part of building trust through visibility.
๐ Delivery Transparency Beyond Nigeria
OVMPS is also building a broader delivery experience for customers purchasing from outside their immediate location.
Through GlobalHub, customers can explore a guided view of how international delivery can work, including the different stages a shipment may pass through before reaching its destination.
The goal is simple:
Make delivery easier to understand.
Whether a product is coming from a nearby vendor or travelling across borders, customers should have a clearer idea of what happens between “Order Placed” and “Delivered.”
๐ค Why Speedaf Matters to OVMPS
Choosing a logistics partner is not something we take lightly.
Delivery is one of the most important moments in e-commerce. A great marketplace experience can quickly lose a customer’s confidence if the delivery process is unclear.
That is why integrating with an established logistics network like Speedaf is significant for OVMPS.
Speedaf brings an existing delivery network, defined service targets and shipment tracking capabilities into the OVMPS ecosystem.
But our goal is not simply to say:
“We have Speedaf.”
Our goal is to make that partnership useful to the customer.
You should be able to see more information, understand the journey better and have greater visibility after placing your order.
That is the standard we are working toward.
๐ And We’re Just Getting Started
Speedaf is an important step in the continued development of OVMPS delivery infrastructure.
We are also working toward deeper logistics integrations and additional delivery options, including our ongoing work around GIG Logistics.
As OVMPS grows, our aim is to give customers more choice, better visibility and a delivery experience that feels as trustworthy as the marketplace itself.
Because buying online should not feel like sending your money into the unknown.
You should know where your order is, understand how it gets to you, and have confidence that someone is working to get it there.
That is the kind of marketplace OVMPS is building.
